The ancient ritual
We went on a journey to rediscover lost remedies and found our way to the ancient ritual of oil pulling.
A form of natural mouthwash, oil pulling in Ayurveda traditionally uses a lush oil for an oral detox — to clean the mouth, prevent tooth decay, and promote healthy gums. This bundle pairs it with a botanical sea salt toothpaste, a neem tongue cleaner, and a bamboo toothbrush for a complete, plastic-free morning ritual.
Yes — this is designed as a complete sequence. Oil pull for 15–20 minutes first, scrape your tongue immediately after, then brush. The whole routine takes under 25 minutes. Most people do it while getting dressed or making coffee.
Approximately 20 days with daily use. The toothpaste (100g) and oil pulling jar (190g) are both sized for about one month of consistent morning use. The bamboo toothbrush and neem tongue cleaner last considerably longer.
Start with 5 minutes and build up to 15–20 minutes over a week. The Citrus and Mint flavours are particularly easy to begin with — they make the practice considerably more enjoyable than plain coconut oil. Most people adapt within 3–4 days.
Oil pulling first removes bacteria from the mouth before brushing — if you brush first, you spread toothpaste residue into the oil and reduce its effectiveness. Tongue cleaning immediately after oil pulling removes what the oil drew to the tongue surface. Brushing last seals the clean. This is the Ayurvedic sequence, unchanged for thousands of years.
